First Touch of Winter

First Touch of Winter

28″ x 54″

Oil on Canvas

Sedona has been my home for 35 years, and I have yet to grow tired of the beauty that surrounds me there. First Touch of Winter was painted when the first snow of the season dotted the tops of the cliffs. As the storm passed, the evening light illuminated the red rocks, momentarily. This view is from what the locals call ‘Cook’s Hill,’ featuring red rock formations in front of Wilson Mountain.

This painting will be a featured work of Curt’s at the 2013 Prix de West Show and Sale. To learn more about the event, please visit this page.
