Oil on Canvas
The trinity mentioned in the painting’s title consists of Deva Temple, Brahma Temple, and Zoroaster Temple, which together stand in jeweled tones against the crisp, clear fall air. As the winter winds start to blow into the Canyon, shadows that are far away in the distance can look so dark as to be almost be black. The combination of elements … sky, shadows and formations … create an undulating rhythm of layers and textures where one can see both a mile below and ten miles across at the very same moment. This is, of course, a visual experience unique to the greatest landscape on earth, Grand Canyon.
This painting was shown at the West Select Show in November 2013.
