In this painting I painted cottonwood trees in early fall, reflecting in the waters of the Rio Grande River at Embudo, New Mexico. This beautiful spot is located in the Taos Gorge on the east-west highway and the main route between Santa Fe and Taos. This is also the historic site of the old railroad station and I love to paint the old water tower, seen behind the cottonwoods.
